Recent seasons have brought a rich mix of house and role debuts: Mim\u00ec in La boh\u00e8me<\/em> with San Diego Opera; Mica\u00ebla in Carmen<\/em> with Virginia Opera and Sarasota Opera; Li\u00f9 in Turandot<\/em> with Gulfshore Opera; Pamina in Die Zauberfl\u00f6te<\/em> with North Carolina Opera; Adina in L\u2019elisir d\u2019amore<\/em> with Dayton Opera and Opera Maine; and Freia in Das Rheingold<\/em> with Virginia Opera. She also appeared with Houston Grand Opera in Another City<\/em> and with the Dayton Philharmonic to premiere Reena Esmail\u2019s My Sister\u2019s Voice<\/em>.<\/p>\n

A frequent and celebrated presence at San Diego Opera<\/strong>, Ms. Tucker first debuted there as Mica\u00ebla in Carmen<\/em>\u2014earning ovations for her \u201cglorious Act III aria\u2026 [which] brought ferocious applause\u201d (San Diego Story<\/em>)\u2014and returned as Fiordiligi in Cos\u00ec fan tutte<\/em>, hailed for \u201cmovingly articulated\u201d (Opera Magazine<\/em>) and vocally brilliant performances. Her career includes notable engagements with major U.S. companies: Santa Fe Opera<\/strong> (Echo in Ariadne auf Naxos<\/em>), San Francisco Opera<\/strong> (Jano in Jen\u016ffa<\/em>), Opera Philadelphia<\/strong> (First Memory in Lembit Beecher\u2019s War Stories<\/em>), The Dallas Opera<\/strong> (Frasquita in Carmen<\/em>), Intermountain Opera (Tatyana in Eugene Onegin<\/em>), and Utah Opera (Mica\u00ebla in Carmen<\/em>).<\/p>\n

Equally at home in lyric and lirico-spinto repertoire, Ms. Tucker has been recognized for the beauty and emotional depth of her portrayals\u2014whether delivering a \u201cstunningly realized\u201d (Kentucky.com<\/em>) performance of Tavener\u2019s Song of the Angel<\/em>, a \u201csweet and strong\u201d (Naples News<\/em>) Mim\u00ec, or a Pamina of \u201cdelicate innocence and rich emotional depth\u201d (Cultural Voice of North Carolina<\/em>).<\/p>\n

A graduate of the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM), a Santa Fe Opera Apprentice and former member of the Arizona Opera Studio, Ms. Tucker was a National Semifinalist in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions and has received top honors in numerous national vocal competitions.<\/p>\n
